"Hope, Fight, Unity: How Kelan Creative Supports Unity Bands in the Fight Against COVID-19

Though the world has been trying to fight its way back to pre-pandemic normalcy, COVID-19 is still a looming threat. Millions of new COVID-19 cases are popping up around the world each day, and variants continue to emerge and spread. The road ahead is surely a long and difficult one, but a new organization, led by John Schirrippa, aims to get us back to normal a bit quicker. The goal: Eradicate COVID-19 once and for all.

Unity Bands is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting response and research efforts related to COVID-19. Their efforts include response and research involving frontline workers, vaccines, variants, and secondary illness studies. Unity Bands was started in March 2020 by John Schirrippa. As he describes it:

"The idea for Unity Bands came to me in March 2020 as stay-at-home orders were enacted across the country. I knew we needed a symbol to unify us."

Unity Bands raises funds for their cause through methods such as giveaways, contests, merchandise sales, and most notably, the sale of customized wristbands available to the public that can be worn as a symbol of unity. Additionally, Unity Bands has partnered with various businesses such as Steak 'n Shake and Chick-fil-A to host fundraisers for their cause.

At Kelan Creative, we believe in the cause behind Unity Bands. We believe in supporting our frontline workers, we believe in the study and implementation of vaccines for those who choose to be vaccinated, and we believe in supporting research of COVID-19 variants and secondary illnesses to help mitigate current and future outbreaks and health risks. That's why we've decided to partner with Unity Bands on an ongoing basis to provide volunteer graphic design services for their cause as needed. We hope that by providing these services in a volunteer capacity, Unity Bands can focus their funds on the resources that will most effectively benefit the world.
